Get Involved.

Equipment:

Members will be required to provide their own equipment and it is not expected to happen over night if you do not own any.  Some equipment can be provided as a loaner(on a hand receipt basis) on a short term basis for specific training's and will be required to be returned on the closing of the training session.  If you own camping equipment you are half way prepared.

 

As a minimum all members should have the following for equipment:

Subdued clothing summer and winter.  Army ACU uniforms dyed OD Green are a good economical choice.

3 pairs of socks and cold weather temperatures should be a wool blend.

3 T-shirts subdued.

1 boots

A firearm for those allowed to own one.  Remember when the ball drops a lot of firearms will be lying on the ground.  Until then we will find ways to legally train.

A way to carry ammunition.

Canteen, water bladder or some other way to carry water such a 2ltr bottle.

Individual First Aid Kit(IFAK)Some type of trauma dressing and tourniquet.

A sleeping bag preferred is a Military Sleep System(MSS) as it is good for summer and winter temperatures.

Some type of back pack.

 

The following equipment list should be a goal to purchase as finances allow. 

 

LEVEL 1

  1. Camouflage(subdued) Clothing listed above.

  2. Boots: hiking, work or military are acceptable (no cowboy boots)

  3. Assault Pack or ALICE Butt Pack

  4. Food for 72 hours

  5. First Aid Kit (IFAK)

Rifle, any rifle is suitable, semi-auto carbines preferred.  A single shot .22 can be used, Until a combat rifle can be acquired

LEVEL 2

All of level 1 items plus

  1. Load Bearing Equipment

  2. Large Pack

  3. Extra Camouflage Clothing

  4. Combat Knife or Bayonet

  5. Tent, tarp or some type of shelter

  6. Sleeping System

  7. Side Arm

  8.  Ammo for side arm

  9. Mess kit, preferred is the European style such as the German mess kit where it is a pot and plate and perhaps a frying pan all in on nested unit. 

  10. Food for 7 Days

LEVEL 3

All of the above listed gear plus

  1. Extra boots

  2. Sleeping pad

  3. 4 sets of camouflage clothing

  4. Body armor (plate carrier or vest)

  5. Helmet or Kevlar

Extra ammunition (1000 round surplus for each weapon)

Ammo: Combat load of 200-300 rounds.

Hydration system, canteens (2- 1 quart), one canteen cup
